The 2nd Laguna Blogging Summit will be happening on November 14 - 15 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, registration will start at 7am at the Cultural Center of Laguna inside the Provincial Capitol at the Municipality of Santa Cruz. This year, the organizers invited different empowered and powerful influencers from the mainstream media and online who they tagged as Social Revolutionists for showing their advocacies without fear, conveying their voices effectively with action, influencing their communities and by being the representatives of social forces.
The organizers are very happy to announce that Governor Jeorge "ER" Ejercito is always in full support for this historical event. Last year, the #1LaBS trended on Twitterand received more than 700 attendees from different schools such as Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU), AMA, STI and UPLB. For this year, De La Salle Zobel from Ayala, Alabang are coming to #2LaBS to learn more about the importance of Online Marketing, effectiveness of Social Media in todays business, Cybercrime Law, Anti Cyber Bullying, Blogging 101 and why 33% Filipinos are online recently.
According to the former 2nd District of Laguna Board Member and now the new Assistant Secretary General of Philippine Red Cross Neil Andrew Nocon, "The 1st Laguna Blogging Summit last year contributed to the Laguna influx flow of tourist." This statement from the one in charge last time of the Province of Laguna Tourism only proved how effective is Social Media in giving awareness and hitting the right target market.
For this year, different companies shows support to the 2nd Laguna Blogging Summit.Greenwich Pizza made possible for the organizers to meet at their different restaurants/outlets in Metro Manila most especially at Philfirst Building at Makati where Greenwich have a conference room. The event first Social Media launch and website launch happened also at Greenwich Pizza Philfirst Building outlet and attended by Philippine Red Cross and Zoomanity Group.
The newly elected 3rd District of Laguna Representative Marisol Aragones shows also her full support to the event. Shes well known as Sol Aragones, the empowered reporter under ABS CBN surely knows the importance of Social Media now in today's advocacy and the fight against corruption which actually proven by the August 26, 2013 Historical Million People March where more Filipinos not only in the Philippines but around the Globe joined forces to show the same interest in fighting corruption where the first call just came from a single Facebook Community Account.

DLSU WINS 76th UAAP
The DLSU team won the UAAP crown in a thriller game with the score of 71-69 in the MOA Arena. DLSU's Jeron Teng was named the Finals MVP with 25 points and some rebounds. Jeron Teng also made the winning assist to Almond Vosotros with like 10 seconds left. UST's Karim Abdul and Jeric Teng had a very valiant effort to beat DLSU with Karim's 26 points. Sadly, the last attempt to seal the win for UST backfired and gave DLSU the win. The game was so close that it had to go to OT. In my opinion, Jeric Teng should have received the Finals MVP award because he lays so much better than Jeron in his playing style. To many people the game Finals was the Teng vs Teng battle. I am proud that my school won the UAAP crown and I hope that we win more championships.

Our Mini-Blogging Summit
We started the mini-blogging summit with a quotes from Steve Jobs about Passion. Then one of our speakers, Ms. Grace, then started the summit with a “social media 101” like few tips about social media and also tips on how to use social media. She also explained the do’s and don’ts of social media, as well as important guidelines of social media. Some guidelines and tips on social media that Ms. Grace enumerated are to connect with the right people, it is not private, it is the present and future, be careful with what you say on the internet. Our next speaker, Sir Eric Cortez, gave us tips on blogging. Some tips that Sir Eric said is to always “write, write, and write”. To help us always write, he told us “to write is to write, not to think”. Sir Eric also shared many personal stories on his blogging career and how he started to blog. Many other tips that Sir Eric told us in the summit is to “reveal yourself”, write from the heart. Another tip is to “immerse yourself”, immerse in other blogs. Another tip is to “think of you readers”, so that you can know what to write.
This summit helped me in my blog, so I know how to blog and get many
page views. Other things I learned during the summit is how to handle social
media and always remember to control on what you blog. With this information, I can be safer on the internet. One thing I could to is to blog about our Lasallian events. This summit is very helpful and the other summits we are going to have are going to be helpful as well.

Gilas Pilipinas wins a spot in FIBA world championships in the 27th FIBA Asia championships
Gilas Pilipinas sealed it's spot in the FIBA World championship with its win against Korea in a demanding 86-79 score. The player of the game is definitely Marc Pingris with his 16 points. I am super happy that Gilas won because it gives us an opportunity to show the world our basketball skills. However, we are lacking 3pt gunners like Allan Caidic and Jaworski. Nevertheless, Gilas earned this spot fairly through their heart and determination.
Bullying is bad
Bullying is very popular in all schools worldwide. Bulling is pretty much teasing, fighting, or being mea to someone. I personally HATE bullying because it just makes people sad and depressed. I hope many efforts are done to lessen this problem.
